We believe you should always know what data we work with and why. This page is our commitment to transparency for the Frozen Catch Sweets mobile app and its companion website at frozen0036.com. We've laid it out as a list of plain questions, answered as straightforwardly as we know how.
What does this policy cover?
This Privacy Policy applies to the Frozen Catch Sweets Android mobile application (the "App") and the website that supports it. It describes the small set of information the App and the website work with, what we use it for, and the choices you have. Frozen Catch Sweets developed by JM Mobile Tech ("we," "our," or "us") is the developer responsible for the App.
What information does the App collect?
The App is a mostly offline cookbook, so the list is short. When you first open it, the App generates a random anonymous identifier and stores it on your device — that lets us count installs and recognise return visits without ever asking who you are. The App also reads your device's language and region setting so it can show content in a way that makes sense for you. The recipes you cook, the photos you attach, the streak you build, and the catches you collect all stay on your device — none of that ever leaves it.
For attribution and marketing measurement, the App also works with your device's Google Advertising ID (a resettable, non-personal identifier provided by Android) so we can understand how new cooks find their way to Frozen Catch Sweets.
If you turn on push notifications, your device generates a unique subscription identifier so notifications can be delivered to you, and the App passes along a language tag so you receive notifications in your language. The App does not see the content of any messages — they come straight from our notification provider's servers to your screen.
Does the App have a built-in browser?
Yes. The App opens this Privacy Policy and the Support page in a small in-app browser so you don't have to leave the App to read them. Like any browser, it supports cookies (including third-party cookies set by the pages it loads) and local storage. We don't store anything extra on top of that — the App's own data collection is exactly what's listed in the question above.
What about the Support form?
From the App's Support page (and the same Contact page on our website) you can send us a message or report a bug. When you submit a request, you may share your name, an email address, an optional subject line, and a description of the problem. You can also attach a file — that part is optional, and your device's standard file picker handles it. From the picker you can take a fresh photo with your device's camera or pick an existing screenshot, image, document, or short log file. The App itself never opens your camera directly; capturing a photo is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app, so we never request a camera permission of our own. We use what you send only to answer your question and fix what needs fixing.
Why do we collect this information?
Each of the small pieces above has a single, narrow purpose. The anonymous identifier and the device language let the App work and display correctly on your device. The Google Advertising ID and attribution data help us understand which marketing efforts actually bring people to the App, so we can keep doing the ones that work. The push notification subscription identifier exists only so that — when you opt in — notifications can find your device. Information you submit through the Support form exists only to help us reply to you. We don't use any of this for advertising profiling inside the App, and we never sell personal information.
Do we share your data with anyone?
The App relies on two third-party services. Each one only sees what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy practices:
- AppsFlyer — handles install attribution and marketing measurement. AppsFlyer receives the Google Advertising ID, attribution information (such as the source and campaign name that led to the install), the install referrer information that Android provides, the App's anonymous identifier, and the standard device data (such as IP address, device model, and OS version) that its SDK collects to function. See the AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy.
- OneSignal — delivers push notifications when you opt in. OneSignal receives the device subscription identifier it needs to reach your device, the language tag the App sets, and the standard device information it collects during registration (model, OS version, carrier, app version, timezone, and an approximate country derived from IP). See the OneSignal Privacy Policy.
We don't share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other unrelated third party. We may disclose information only if we are required to by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
How long do we keep it?
The anonymous identifier, your custom recipe photos, your streak, and your collection progress live on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. The Google Advertising ID is managed by your device and Google Play Services — you control it. The AppsFlyer installation identifier and the OneSignal subscription identifier are tied to the install on your device and follow each provider's own retention rules described in the policies linked above. Cookies and local storage created by pages loaded inside the App's built-in browser follow standard browser expiration and clear when you clear App data. Anything you send us through the Support form is kept only as long as it takes to deal with the request.
How is the data protected?
Data the App sends to its third-party services is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we handle, both in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we keep the data set small on purpose, exactly because the safest data is data we never collect.
What choices do you have?
You're in control of every piece of data named above. You can reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads at any time under Settings > Google > Ads on your device. Push notification permission is requested at runtime (Android 13 and later); you can deny it when first asked, or revoke it later in your device's notification settings for the App. Clearing the App's storage from your device's app settings resets the anonymous identifier, removes your custom photos and progress, and clears any cookies stored by the in-app browser. Uninstalling the App removes everything stored locally. If you'd like to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold for you (such as a Support enquiry you sent us), reach out using the contact details below — subject to applicable law, we'll act on your request.
Is the App safe for children?
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Are international data transfers involved?
The third-party services described above may process data in countries other than your own. By using the App you acknowledge that the limited information shared with them may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection rules than those of your country. We rely on the safeguards each provider describes in its own privacy policy.
How will you know if this policy changes?
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be highlighted in the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
How can you contact us?
If you have any questions or requests about this Privacy Policy, the easiest way to reach us is through our contact form or by email at the address listed there.
